The Automotive & Industry Tomorrow Summit 2026: Connecting Supply Chains Across Borders

The Automotive & Industry Tomorrow Summit (8th edition) brought together over 350 industry professionals in Sibiu, Romania on March 5–6, 2026 — and Silk Route Shipping was proud to be part of it.

Held at the Ramada Hotel in Sibiu, this year's summit marked a significant evolution. What began as the Automotive Logistics Summit has expanded its scope to encompass electronics, defence, aviation, and industrial manufacturing — reflecting a broader shift in how South-East Europe's industrial ecosystem is taking shape. For Silk Route Shipping, a company built on bridging complex international supply chains, this broader vision aligned perfectly with what we do every day.

Our Stand at the Summit

We were delighted to host our own stand at the event, giving us the opportunity to meet face-to-face with decision-makers from across the automotive and manufacturing sectors. The conversations were rich and varied — from CEOs and Supply Chain Managers to Production Planners, Warehouse Managers, and Purchasing Managers. The audience was exactly the kind of community Silk Route Shipping is here to serve.

The attendee mix — with 39% OEM & Tier Suppliers, 31% 3PL & Transport companies, and representatives from software, packaging, real estate, and automation sectors — underscored just how interconnected modern industry has become. Cross-sector visibility is no longer a bonus; it's a necessity.

The Themes That Defined the Summit

The 2026 theme, Industry Forward, resonated strongly with our team. In a world where industrial transformation is driven not by single sectors but by the connections between them, logistics and freight forwarding are more central than ever.

Key sessions covered topics close to our core business: geopolitics and securing supply chains in a fragmented world, regulatory changes including CBAM and ESG reporting, AI and digitalisation for end-to-end supply chain visibility, and cost optimisation strategies for agile value chains. The panel discussions — including an engaging Supply Chain Quiz — brought real energy to the room.

The headline Automotive CEO Talks: Scenarios for 2030 was a standout moment, with top industry leaders sharing their vision on the future of mobility, sustainability, and competitiveness in an era of rapid change. These are conversations that directly shape the shipping and logistics landscape we operate in.

Why Events Like This Matter to Us

At Silk Route Shipping, we specialise in connecting businesses along complex international trade routes — and that means staying at the forefront of what's happening in the industries we serve. The Automotive & Industry Tomorrow Summit gave us exactly that: direct access to the people and ideas shaping the future of manufacturing and supply chains in Central and South-East Europe.

We came away with new connections, fresh insights, and a reinforced conviction that the right logistics partner makes all the difference when navigating today's geopolitical and regulatory complexities.

Looking Ahead

We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting our partners and clients as they adapt to an increasingly interconnected industrial world. If you met us at the summit and want to continue the discussion — or if you missed us and want to learn how Silk Route Shipping can strengthen your supply chain — we'd love to hear from you.
