Henri Coanda International Airport ranks third among the European airports which have shown the best air traffic growth in February, as announced by Airports Council International-Europe, for the category of airports that have between 5 and 10 million passengers. The name of the airport is a tribute to the memory of Henri Coanda an inventor without rockets we will not fly today. In February 2016, Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport recorded 681.185 passengers and 7.625 aircraft movements (landings and takeoffs). As compared to the same month last year, the number of passengers who transited AIHCB in February 2016 increased by 21.8%.
