April was an important month for Silk Route Shipping Romania’s international networking activity, as our team attended the 21st Global Freight Forwarders Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Between 1–4 April 2026, freight forwarders, logistics companies, supply chain professionals, and global decision-makers came together at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center for one of the major international meeting points in the freight forwarding industry.

For us, the event was more than a business trip. It was an opportunity to meet global partners face to face, exchange market insights, explore cooperation opportunities, and strengthen the connections that support reliable international cargo movement.

With thousands of participants, exhibition space, scheduled meetings, and a strong focus on one-to-one business networking, the event created a practical environment for companies looking to expand their international network.

A major focus was one-to-one meetings. These meetings are especially valuable in our field because they allow companies to discuss real operational needs: routes, cargo types, service coverage, pricing structures, documentation processes, response times, and cooperation models.

Another important theme was trust in cross-border logistics. When cargo moves internationally, a freight forwarder needs reliable agents and partners at origin, destination, and transit points. Strong relationships help reduce uncertainty, improve coordination, and make the shipping process more predictable for clients.

Key takeaway from April

Our main takeaway from the 21st Global Freight Forwarders Conference in Bangkok is clear: global freight forwarding is becoming more connected, more collaborative, and more dependent on reliable international networks.

For us, attending the event was an opportunity to build new long-term partnerships while reconnecting with familiar faces and strengthening relationships with longstanding partners.
